Work statement

Here’s my official version …

I tell stories through images and text-based works, mixing topical social and political real-life issues, news and events, with my own experiences, views and observations.

My practice spans several art forms, from net art exploring collaboration, networks and generative forms, to live mapping events and printed booklets and prints. I often deals with contentious issues, researched in depth, told with integrity, in an accessible manner. Often I am motivated by a desire to campaign against injustice.

Recent exhibitions include: Pepperton Gallery (2007), South London Artists Showcase (2007); FILE 2007 (Brazil), Takeaway (Science Museum, London, 2005/ 2006); DIWO Festival (HTTP Gallery, London, 2007); Be Very Afraid (BAFTA, London, 2006); Generative Art (Milan, 2005/2006).

Influences include contemporary art, graphic design, net art, political/street art/subvertising, graphic novels, satire, social realist films and political documentary.

But of course this doesn’t really tell the whole picture … here are some recent notes …
